Raubex Infra is a Bloemfontein based subsidiary of the Raubex Group, we are a construction company operating in the public and private sectors where our services include Asbestos Contracting, Roads and Bulk Earthworks, Civil and General Infrastructure, Renewable Energy and Electrical Infrastructure Fields and Telecommunications and Special Projects.
Currently an opportunity exists within our company for a site-based Quality Officer. Whilst reporting directly to the projects Construction Manager the Quality Officer shall implement the Raubex Management System as per the requirements of the projects.
Candidate for this post is to have sound computational and technical skills and be able to apply them on site in a practical manner to ensure production complies with quality requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•Direct experience working with civil, electrical, mechanical and any other built infrastructure.
•Extensive computer skills especially in MS office 365 and OneDrive
•Sound knowledge of applicable compliance obligations as per Raubex Infra’s scope of works.
•Extensive knowledge of construction materials and the quality control thereof.
•Ability to work independently, efficiently & able to meet and set deadlines.
•Ability to learn quickly & apply knowledge to wide range of projects.
•Ability to communicate applicable compliance obligation requirements clearly & comprehensively.
•Collaboration with the project team to ensure projects are completed according to the specified quality compliance obligations.
•Ability to critically analyse and interpret leading, lagging indicators and their root causes.
•Fortitude to escalate noted deviations beyond their control or level of influence.
JOB SPECIFICATION
To manage and implement the necessary frameworks of the Raubex Management System by:
•Consulting with all project stakeholders and leading the tailoring, implementation, and review of the onsite Quality Management System to ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met and best practice is achieved.
•Participating in training a team of skilled staff.
•Assisting in promoting healthy working relationships with all project stakeholders.
•Actively participating in and promoting continuous education activities consistent with the position.
•Performing any relevant Quality functions which may be assigned by the SHEQ Department or Site Management.
•Managing and controlling system documentation on site, ensuring effective traceability of all aspects affecting Quality.
•Managing of on-site Quality Management documents such as Quality Control Plans, Contract Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Quality Controls, etc.
•Performing internal, sub-contractor and supplier quality assessments, with the Construction Manager
•Ensure the management of materials, resources and equipment effecting quality conform to applicable standards.
•Managing, reviewing, and resolving non-conforming events including rework, customer complaints and internal non-conforming events.
•Attending all meetings effecting quality.
•Actively participating in the maintenance and development of the Raubex SHEQ Management System.
•Investigating customer / first level supervision complaints and provide a timely response.
•Ensuring cost effective use of all Quality staff and resources.
•Ensuring that monthly Quality reports are comprehensively completed and submitted in accordance with prescribed timeframes.
•Identifying and recommending problem resolution.
•Liaising directly with the Construction Manager and applicable site supervisors as it applies to:
Internal and External Audits and closing of any items raised as a result thereof.
Analyse and report the impacts of major changes to personnel or processes to project Quality.
Review and approve the monthly report for submission.
Perform induction training of new staff (Quality Management Training)
