Based in Bloemfontein, we are a subsidiary of the Raubex Group. We are looking for a general foreman who will be working on site within the Renewables Energy Business Unit within Raubex Infra.
The general foreman will be responsible to oversee and manage all
on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality
standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive construction
knowledge, and the ability to coordinate teams effectively.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• South African citizen.
• Proven experience as a General Foreman in a Civil, Electrical and/or Mechanical field.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
• Management Skills – Team Management skills
• Relevant certifications and a valid driver’s license.
JOB SPECIFICATION
• Supervise daily site activities and operations to ensure the project is progressing as
planned.
• Monitor and manage the performance of on-site staff and subcontractors, ensuring
adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety standards and quality control are
maintained.
• Liaise with the Project Coordinators, Technical Teams, and other stakeholders to
ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the site, ensuring that they
are available when needed to avoid delays.
• Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site, escalating to the
Contract Manager as necessary.
• Enforce adherence to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe work
environment for all site personnel.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety
on-site.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with local and Raubex regulations.
• Ensure that all work meets the required standards of quality as per the project
specifications.
• Conduct inspections and tests to verify the quality of work and materials used.
• Document and report any deviations from the project plan or quality standards to
the Contract Manager.
• Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including progress reports, work
logs, and incident reports.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on site progress, challenges, and any deviations
from the project plan.
• Assist the Project Coordinator in preparing and reviewing project documentation,
including schedules, budgets, and work plans.
