Job Description

Based in Bloemfontein, with a subsidiary of the Raubex Group. We are looking for an experienced QS/Estimator who will be working with different trades within Raubex Infra.  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•BSC QS (HONS) Degree and Eligible to register as a professional  

•Min 5 years' experience, on site as well as at office regarding QS, Estimating, and project management work in the infrastructure construction sector.

•Computer literate - MS Office (Advanced level)  

•Competent with Construction Computer Software (CCS), linking estimations with build smart and candy programs.

•Must be able to demonstrate a decent understanding of a Construction QS, Estimating and Commercial role.

•Good interpersonal skills and a team player.

•Must be able to liaise with clients, and to do networking.

•A valid Driver's Licence and own reliable transport.  

•Prepared to relocate to Bloemfontein and travel regularly to construction sites.  

•South African citizen.  

•Preferably conversant in a wide range of construction estimating trades, including:  

          *  Renewable Energy.

          *  Roads and Bulk earthworks.  

          *  Infrastructure development.  

•Proficiency with the use of and knowledge of Industry Standards (SANS, COLTO, COTO), as well as Industry Contracts (GCC, Fidic, JBCC, NEC etc.)

JOB SPECIFICATION  

•Ensure adherence to group policies and procedures.  

•Ensure administration function is properly executed according to company policies.

•Support the Operations Director in estimating and measurement of construction works prior to tender, produce the bill of quantities, compile tender documentation, and manage the tender process.

•Estimating, compilation and coordination of the tender process, ensuring compliance with full tender specification.

•Linking CCS estimations to build smart and candy programs.

•Compile budgets and cash flow projections.

•Cost, budget, and cash flow Control in accordance with budgets of projects that are awarded.  

•Compilation of cash flow, cost, and budget reports for cost meetings of projects.  

•Support the Operations Director with cost control, cash flow control, and commercial matters.

•Use the various construction contracts and specifications i.e. COLTO, COTO, SANS, GCC, FIDIC, JBCC, NEC, etc. In the execution of duties.

•Support the Operations Director with Client Liaison and Networking.

•Support the Operations Director with Contract Management if needed.
