Journalist Alida de Beer | Thursday, 20 September 2018, 10:54 GEORGE NUUS - Die konstruksie van verdere behuising op erf 325 in Rosedale, Pacaltsdorp, begin binnekort en die verwagting is dat die eerste 852 huise in die tweede kwartaal van 2020 voltooi sal wees.Wanneer die hele projek voltooi is, sal 'n totaal van 2 100 huise staan. Die eerste twee fases van die projek is aan die kontrakteurs Asla en Raubex toegeken. Hulle het reeds met terreinvestiging begin. Die ontwikkeling sluit laekoste en gesubsidieerde behuising in. Daar is ook erwe wat geoormerk is vir publieke fasiliteite soos kerke en skole en 'n kommersiële sone sal op die Beachweg-straatfront ontwikkel word met behuising...

There has been a very good increase in the value of buildings completed in larger municipalities during the second quarter of this year, to the tune of almost 7%, which presents a recovery from the sluggish growth of the first quarter of the year, the latest Afrimat Construction Index ACI shows. The ACI is a composite index of the level of activity within the building and construction sectors and is compiled by economist Dr Roelof Botha on behalf of open pit mining company Afrimat. Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex Group has been awarded contracts in South Africa to install 80 AW125/3150 turbines for the Garob and Copperton projects, in the Northern Cape.The turbines have a combined capacity of 252 MW.The Garob project comprises 46 turbines, which Enel Green Power has ordered. The Copperton project comprises 34 turbines for developer and independent power producer Elawan.Both projects include delivery and installation, as well as multiyear service contracts.
